While Google's technology is certainly widely known, its sense of style is something that's a little less obvious. But with the upcoming Google Glass technology, Google's out to put a little extra bite into the style portion of its design, and it's calling in some pretty substantial help to do so: Warby Parker.
That word "comprehensive" in the title of this article is not exactly an overstatement. IBM has pulled together a new mobile solutions platform - or suite, or suite of suites - that does indeed deliver on everything and the kitchen sink as far as enterprise mobile software and mobile services are concerned.
Someone needs to get a serious grip on password security and Twitter's hacking vulnerability. It's been a busy week in terms of accounts getting hacked, and it's not over yet. Burger King's Twitter account was the first this week to meet the hackers, with a false announcement on the micro-blogging site that the fast food chain and home of the Whopper had been sold to Big Mac owner McDonalds.
If you have a Facebook account - like one billion people on Planet Earth do - chances are, you post photos to your account: baby pictures, embarrassing college photos, vacation snaps and the odd nature or wildlife shot. While you may not even remember what photos you've posted to your page, Facebook does. And the company's battalions of servers are getting a bit more crowded every day.
Back on January 26, new rule changes impacted the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), forbidding users from unlocking new cell phones without direct permission from mobile carriers. An exception was added to the act leaving cell phone unlocking out of the issue, but the exception ended when the Library of Congress' Copyright Office got involved, leaving the exception to quietly fade away. But the user community didn't like this development, and took to the government's petition website, where a petition was established and soon garnered sufficient support to force direct comment from the White House.
Today, a little over seven months since being added to the Yahoo brand as its new CEO and president, Mayer rolled up her sleeves to show the manpower being put in to revolutionize and re-energize the company, serving as its first major move in four years.
In the parlance of search engine optimization, the partial term "search engine" has invariably come to denote Google. Almost all SEO experts focus their optimization efforts on Google, the dominant player among search engines.
